Usually there are obvious reasons for why things end up as the No. 1 most e-mailed story on The New York Times website -- major scoops, scathing columns, bizarre trends are the usual culprits.But for some reason, today the most-emailed article on the whole site is a recipe for sweet potato and butternut squash soup. It's not even a story -- just pure recipe.
Never underestimate Thanksgiving.
